Board of Directors Board members are elected during the annual general meeting, joining us from a variety of professional backgrounds and fields of activity.
The Board holds monthly meetings in the shelter to consider administrative and budgetary planning and follow up. Some of the members are active on committees, such as the Finance Committee, which meets on a monthly basis to oversee Woman to Woman`s financial management and ensure that it is complying with the various regulatory requirements, and the Grants Committee, which is charged with overseeing educational and vocational grants to women in our various programs. In addition, Woman to Woman has an independent two-member Audit Committee.
Chairperson Ayelet Eliashar began volunteering in the shelter and the board in 2022. She joined our organization after serving in the Israel Police for 30 years. In her last role, as the legal advisor for the police, at the rank of brigadier general.

Board Members
Esther Yuval joined the Board and Finance Committee in 2022, after retiring from a long career in management. During the present stage of her life, Esther is interested in taking an active role in volunteer work, especially that which involves empowering women, and in which she can contribute from her experience.
Hila Boral joined the board in 2020. She is the director of PELE the “Solutions for Children” project in Jerusalem’s Alyn Orthopedic Hospital for Children. Her connection to Woman to Woman is a deeply personal one: her late parents, Shifra and Nahum Ziv, were two of our most valuable and beloved volunteers whose long-standing contribution to the workings of the Shelter was immeasurable. They imbued Hila with their own zeal for the work carried on here.
Itai Chomsky joinged the Board in 2024. Itai retired from the Israel Police in 2022 at the rank of sub-superintendent. In his last position he was head of the finance department in police accounts. In addition to his role in the Board, Itai is also a member of the Finance Committee.
Michal Corcos joined the Board in 2016 and has since then served as Chairperson of the Finance Committee. Michal retired from the Israel Police in 2008 at the rank of deputy commander, after a career in the Planning and Organizational Division – Resource Planning and Administration for budgets, human resources, and equipment.
Orna Shochat joined the Board in 2024. Orna has been an active volunteer for eight years as a mentor and companion for women and children who have left the shelter. In addition to volunteering, Orna is an IT consultant for start-up companies in the field of social networks and provides personal training for managers.
Shalvit Gross has been an active volunteer of the organization for over 12 years due to her belief in the imporance of being part of the struggle to end violence against women. She has been an member of the board since 2021.
